CBO Certificate

Our Community Focus: CHOCU Foundation, registered as "Children Helping Other Children in Uganda" (CHOCU), is officially recognized as a Community-Based Organisation (CBO) in Masaka City. This registration strengthens our mission to support and empower children within the local community through various charitable activities and initiatives.

What CBO Registration Means: A Community-Based Organisation (CBO) registration acknowledges CHOCU’s commitment to operating as a grassroots organization focused on local needs. This status allows us to collaborate closely with community members, local authorities, and other stakeholders to effectively address the unique challenges faced by children in our area.

Achieving Registration

To be registered under the Reg Act Cap 113 Act 29 E(2-3) of Masaka City, CHOCU met several important requirements, including:

  • Local Engagement: Demonstrating active involvement and support within the local community.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Adhering to all relevant regulations and standards set forth by Masaka City authorities.

  • Operational Capability: Proving our capacity to manage and execute community-focused programs and initiatives.

Significance of Our Certificate

The Certificate of Registration, issued on 14th February 2023, by Masaka City, is valid until 30th December 2025. This certificate is a testament to CHOCU’s dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of children in Uganda, affirming our role as a key player in community development and support.
